Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
Denim dresses have been popular for a few season now, but saw a resurgence after being featured in Rachel Zoe and Jill Stuart’s spring runway shows. These chic and structured dresses come in all types of washes and silhouettes, so it’s easy to find one that matches your style aesthetic.
Not only is a denim dress perfect to wear on its own on a hot summer day, but it’s also a fab layering piece, which makes it a great investment for the fashion forward gal. In this post, I’ll be showing you how to style a breezy, lightweight, and summer-appropriate denim shirtdress for both class and a night out. Scroll down to check out both looks:
Denim Dress: Class
This light-wash sleeveless denim shirtdress will keep you cool on a sunny summer day, and looks adorable yet casual when paired with girly floral print sneakers. Continue to add pops of color to the ensemble by defining your waist with a neon limeade-hued belt, accessorizing with a small but bright bracelet, and painting your nails with this hot pink nail polish.
Lastly, grab an off-white cut-out tote, which is perfect for carrying all of your belongings while keeping with the summery vibe of this look.
Denim Dress: Night Out
Glam up this dress for a night out by adding pops of cognac and gold! A gold belt with metallic studs looks fab when paired with this denim dress, while summery wedges with cognac leather straps and hints of gold and a small faux leather bucket bag make it appropriate for nighttime.
Add another hint of sparkle with blue stud earrings that match the dress perfectly, then finish the look with a glam gold smokey eye and big black lashes.
