Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.

Move over skinny jeans! This week, we’re featuring a denim substitute for those days when you want to give your skinnies a rest: boyfriend jeans.

While some may be hesitant to test out boyfriend jeans, we say give ‘em a try. There are so many washes and fits, and with the right styling, these jeans can look great on anyone! Also, because they aren’t skin-tight like skinnies, boyfriend jeans work really well for spring and summer.

Here, we’ll show you two ways to style a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans – one look for class and another for a night out. Scroll down to see both ensembles:

Boyfriend Jeans: Class

Create a cute yet laid-back look for class by pairing these boyfriend jeans with a drapey black racer-back tank. Because of the low back and armholes on this casual tank, you can layer a lacy black bralet under it for a pretty and feminine touch.

Create a small cuff on the bottom of the jeans by rolling the hem, then add a pair of flat, strappy leopard print sandals to keep things spring-appropriate. A cream-colored tote is the perfect way to carry all of your books, while a stack of gold bangles adds some sparkle and shine to the ensemble. Lastly, a bright coral nail polish adds a hint of color to this breezy getup.

Boyfriend Jeans: Night Out

Balance out the more masculine shape of these jeans by pairing them with a ruffled floral print tank top for a night out. Play off the color in the tank with these sandals that have patent peach-hued straps. The low wedge keeps the look casual, but still very on-trend.

Add another pop of color with a clutch that features faux leather and wicker paneling. Accessorize with lime and coral-hued chain link bracelets that are both summery and glam Finish the look with a natural smokey eye and you’ll be ready to dance the night away!

Your thoughts?

Would you ever wear boyfriend jeans? To class? For a night out? How would you style these boyfriend jeans? Let me know what you think of the outfits in the comments, and tell me what other pieces you’d like to see featured on Class to Night Out!

I love the second outfit! It’s a bit more my style than the first (the girly florals, the soft pink tones).

I tend to wear dresses – but I have one pair of boyfriend jeans and they are my all-time favorites. They’re comfy and go with everything! All girls should have at least one pair. :)

First oufit is totally me. Even though I don’t wear sandals very much, I’d still rock that leopard pair :)

I like the first outfit better. Those jeans look really comfy. I can imagine myself going shopping in them or just lounging around the house.

You know what’s funny?! As far as my own personal style goes, I think I would switch those! The floral top seems very me in class — the light springy colors, very put-together…and the other outfit would be a go-to, night-out outfit! Laid back and a peek of the lacy bra, very nice. Either way, good outfits and super comfy looking jeans!

I know I’m a little late to post, but I’ve been looking for some boyfriend jeans similar to ones Jennifer Aniston has. Search bf jeans on this site and you’ll se an article from ’09 with a pic of JA. They’re so cute and look so comfy!!
