Sneak Peek at H&M’s New Dragon Tattoo Collection

The highly-anticipated film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo opens in theaters this month and to celebrate, fast-fashion retailer H&M has designed a collection inspired by the movie’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander.
H&M teamed up with the film’s costume designer, Trish Summerville, to create the 30-piece collection, which will include outerwear, pants and tops as well as accessories like jewelry, shoes and handbags. Prices will range from $3.95 for tribal-inspired earrings to $9.95 for t-shirts and $199 for leather jackets.
The Dragon Tattoo Collection launches in 180 H&M stores worldwide (and online, where available) this Wednesday, December 14th and will be available in the store’s Divided department.

I’m really excited to hear about this!
Jo
I just hyperventilated out of excitement a little bit. :D
Mina
Thx for the info. It’s awesome. I never go to H&M but now I absolutely must go. Love that!

I really like the pieces for this collection. There are a couple I would never dream of purchasing, like the super distressed t-shirt, but otherwise I love most of them. Now if only the closest H&M wasn’t 2 hours away. . .
Chloe
Very rough! I think these pieces will look so nice paired with lighter more glamorous pieces!
Sarah
Oh my god. It looks like I designed it. I know what i’m spending my Christmas money on..
Kelly
I heard that there are very few stores receiving this line, and many of the stores that do are only getting a few pieces (one instance I know of, the store is just getting the 2 shirts). It’s pretty disappointing. :/

Hate to say it, but the collection will be super difficult to find. It’ll be available in 180 stores worldwide, yes, but will only be available in 7 stores in the US. However, all stores will have the flag graphic tee (shown above, the 6th item pictured) in both grey and white. The whole collection looks amazing, and I have to say, I’m really disappointed my store won’t be one of the lucky few to sell it.

Exactly my style, can’t wait!
Emma
It’s actually flawless

I love those earrings! It’s very rare for me to find something that makes me want to give up my silver sleeper hoops but those are amazing.
Kristina
OMG I absolutely love that super distressed shirt. I must must find it.
Renee
It seems kind of inappropriate to make a fashion line based on a movie about sexual assault. :/
Jess
Oh yeah. DO want.
Phoebe
wow, i definitely want a jacket!
kristy
I would pierce my ears to wear those beautiful earrings!
Rachel
Wow, really? If anyone here has ever read the books or seen the Swedish movie, you would know that the movie IS NOT ABOUT RAPE. And saying that a clothing line, based on a character whose actions and personality define her wardrobe, is about rape or glamorizes it is both close-minded and ridiculous.

Lisbeth Salander would be pissed off if she found H&M did a line inspired by her, even though she shops there in the second book. They’re basing a fashion line off a girl who could care less about her appearance…

The fake plug earrings are awesome and so are the boots! Too bad supplies will be scarce :/
