Missoni for Target Lookbook

Back in May, we announced that Italian design house Missoni would be designing an exclusive collection for Target and now the official lookbook has been released!

The 400-piece Missoni for Target collection will include everything from men’s, women’s and children’s apparel to home decor items like bedding, dinnerware and even furniture. Prices will range from $2.99 to $599.99. The collection launches in stores and online on September 13th and will be available through October 22nd. However, Target designer collaborations tend to sell out quickly, so remember to shop early for the best selection!

I am beyond excited for this collaboration with Missoni! It looks really promising and will be perfect for fall.

I’m SO excited for this collection – I love Missoni so much and am thrilled they are working with Target to launch and affordable line for everyone. I love when big designer brands release accessible lines =) They always have the most incredible prints and fabrics – in my opinion, Missoni and Pucci are the two most recognizable and easily distinguised brands!

I’m sorry, guys, but I cannot look at this without going “eww.” Maybe it’s the outfits they made out of pieces that clash (I don’t like print mixing), but most of these outfits aren’t something I’d wear. I looked through the lookbook again to try to find something I really liked, but I can’t. I think I’ll have to pass on this one.

I’m super excited for this collection to come out! I love Missoni patterns especially on swimwear because they’re so colorful and unique. It’s great that Target is making this brand more accessible to those of us who don’t have $300 to spend on a skirt!

I can’t see spending money on any of the clothes out of the lookbook. It all screams “That 70′s Show” to me. I like more of the classic style that stays in fashion forever. The prints will go out of style way too quickly for me to even start to try to find a place for them in my wardrobe. I love some of the other designers that Target does collaborations with though.

I have to agree with Samantha and Missy; I’m not a fan of those prints at all. It’s like someone purposefully chose the absolute worst patterns of the 70s. The outfits themselves are cute, but I’d have to give them a good long soak in some fabric dye to hide those clashing stripes before I’d ever wear them.

I do like the gray dress and the one-piece bathing suit, though.

The prints are amazing! I’m a huge Missoni fan but I wonder if anybody is really going to be brave enough to wear those pieces.

I like the print – but everything in moderation.
I feel like they went overboard on a lot of the pieces, making them WAY too busy to be casual enough for ‘normal folk’ to wear them.
A few of the pieces, like the swimsuit – are just enough to be what it’s supposed to be – without screaming HEY I’M A PRINT AND I’M HERE TO MAKE YOU PUKE!!!!

The dishes from this collaboration are what I’m more excited for.

The styling on these isn’t great, as others have mentioned. But the individual pieces are wonderful! I know I’ll be snagging some of the scarves, shoes, and individual pieces (a top or skirt, and possibly that swimsuit!) I’ll also be hitting up the kids shoe section since I’ve got tiny feet. Heh heh.

Ahhh! I love this. Ive been lusting after a Missoni piece forever. I will definitely be getting the flats and some of the outerwear. So excited!!!

I love the prints in the first 3 rows! So cute and eye catching. I’m not too crazy about all the blue prints though.

Wow! Coming soon to your goodwill!! Only the shoes and tights and accessories are cute. The clothes are too 70s and old fashion

I like the scarves only. Other stuff are just way too tacky.

I think the designs are cute and very chic. I wonder if the zig zag will be the new polka dot for fall. I wish that Target would to Canada sooner.

I love all of it. But I would most like the long pleated skirt. i have been looking for a long pleated skirt for a very long time, and that one looks perfect. I love the jacket they paired with it. But not together of course. All the pieces are wonderful, ad would be great with many things.

How funny. Considering that almost every stylish person loves vintage and vintage inspired things, “old fashioned” is actually a compliment. Get to know fashion, and then see what you think.

The look-book is not styled for a magazine or blog. The outfits may look over the top, but I could make some really great outfits with clothes I already have by adding one piece from this collection!

I was so excited when I heard that Missoni was doing a collection for target. I love their patterns of the high end line but it is way to expensive! I’m really disappointed with this though. I just don’t like the patterns. They don’t look the same to me at all as their regular collection. The only thing I like is the patterned bikini.

Total rip-off from the 70′s I had the exact same pattern and outfit (short skirt and top) in 1974 in high school — I remember because my Latin teacher had the same outfit and she looked much better than I did! Nothing “new and modern” here.

Not my style. I can’t see myself wearing any of those prints.

This is definitely not one of their better collaborations. Looking through the whole thing on the Target Style facebook, I’d say that most of the clothes are too “out there” and not in a good way either. However, I love the accessories. The various bags, tights, and shoes are really cute, and I like the floppy hat and the beanies. The housewares are pretty neat too. But the actual clothes? Not so much.

LMAO at Dpmma. Do your research! Missoni is an italian fashion house that has been around since 1953 and are known for their signature prints, and knits. They reached the height of their influence in the 70s, so the similar styles of the seventies were actually influenced by Missoni (i.e. they originated the trend and were ripped off as it became a mainstream trend.)

Anyways you either love the Missoni brand or you don’t. The Target collection doesn’t look much different from what the boutique stores carry except the quality is certainly not as good to meet the lower price points.

    DO NOT WANT

I ended up liking the collection a lot more than I expected. The mixing of all of the prints looks too over the top in the lookbook, but once you see each item by itself and realize you could wear one at a time, it’s great.
