I’m excited! I don’t check out these LE collections usually, but I LOVE Marilyn Monroe. I’ll certainly be looking, even if I don’t buy:)

Don’t get me wrong I adore Marilyn Monroe she’s gorgeous and has been giving curvier women an inspiration and confidence for years! I just don’t know if I’d consider her a beauty icon (Fashion for sure though). That being said though I am more than excited to see what Mac will put out with this collection, and will probably end up buying a few :]

What’s distinctive about Marilyn Monroe? :S I’d say her clothes and hair are her most distintive features – ok, she wears red lipstick, but that’s hardly ground-breaking. I don’t know, after going into the MAC store and seeing how much they charge for one item, I’m a little bit skeptical about any “new ranges” they bring out.

I’m surprised this hasn’t already been done, haha. I love Marilyn as well, but I do wonder why everyone is on a Marilyn kick right now. She can definitely be a beauty inspiration, and her makeup style is iconic, but I don’t know.
Saying this, I’ll probably still pick up some items :P

She was definitely a beauty icon. Will the collection reflect the make she wore?

As a semi-fan of hers, the Marilyn kick is a little weird. But this should be a good match.

I never understood the fascination with her :/ She’s pretty, and curvy…ok…but she also made it seem glamorous to act “dumb” or “ditzy.”

Not a role model in my book.

This collection makes me wish I were still buying MAC, because I LOOOVE red lipstick, and that “dark true red” is really calling my name.
I think Marilyn had beautiful, classic features, and she made “curvy” look soo good!
For me, the most fascinating aspect of Marilyn is the fact that she appealed to both men and women.
Men wanted to -um- be with her, and women wanted to be her friend, and kind of protect her.
She somehow wasn’t threatening, in spite of her beauty.
