Jason Wu for Target!
Just weeks after launching Missoni for Target, the store has announced their next designer collaboration: Jason Wu!
According to WWD, Wu’s Target collection will stay true to the designer’s signature feminine, ’60s-inspired aesthetic, and the line’s color palette will include navy blue, red, beige and yellow shades.
The collection will include women’s apparel, handbags and scarves, with prices ranging from $19.99 to $59.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $49.99 for handbags and scarves. Jason Wu for Target launches in stores and online on February 5th and will be available through March 6th.

I love Jason Wu, so it’s safe to say I’m pretty excited!
Joy
I’m extremely excited about this. Probably even moreso than I was about Missoni for Target. I do hope, however, that they handle it better than they did the Missoni line.

I’m so excited, but I’m definitely dreading the insanity that everyone experienced with the Missoni x Target line. Let’s hope Target figures out a better system!
Rei
This is so exciting! I can’t wait for this line to drop. February seems so far, but definitely worth the wait
Rach
Omg! I love Jason Wu. Can’t wait to see a preview. I will def be ordering pieces!!
Btw, what happened with the Missoni for Target line?
Joy
Rach,
Many Target stores ran out of stock of the Missoni items within a few hours of stocking. Target had plans to restock stores as merchandise moved, but that’s been slow and/or inconsistent, moreso nonexistent.
Their website crashed the day the line was released and was only intermittently accessible throughout the day. Many shoppers who were able to get through and make orders on backordered items. While Target had initially promised to get stock to those shoppers, they recently told many of them that the items would not be restocked and that their orders would be cancelled.
Target’s marketing chief resigned soon after that. While it’s not definite that the way the Missoni line was handled was the reason for his departure, many consider that to have factored in.
Rach
Wow! Thanks for the update, Joy.

I can’t wait to see the stuff for this line! Though since it’s probably going to be a cuter one than the Missoni fiasco I hope I can manage to get a chance at it at all!
Stephanie
I could take or leave Missoni but Jason Wu is amazing! Can’t wait to to buy his Target pieces!
Kaitlyn
I love that Target pairs with different designers for specific collections! It’s such a great idea, and makes designers’ collections affordable for a variety of people! I can’t wait for this collection!
Miriam
I am so excited!!! For the clothes – not the mad buying scramble a la Missoni. Maybe CF could do an article on how to survive crazy buying sales like Target designer releases and Black Friday.
Jaz
I actually work for Target, as a cashier. People went crazy for the Missoni items, I’m reallllly dreading the craziness that’s going to come with Jason Wu. You guys have no idea how much Target employees put up with haha.
Blair
I’m a HUGE Jason Wu fan. I can’t wait!! He and Phillip Lim are Asian fashion masters! haha
