First Look at Mulberry for Target

Mulberry for Target

A few months ago, Target announced their upcoming collaboration with Mulberry, the luxury handbag company based in the UK, but not much was known about the collection at the time.

However, last week Target teamed up with Gilt Groupe for an exclusive sneak preview sale and the first images of the collection were released.

The collection officially launches in Target stores and online on October 10 and will be available through December 24. Prices range from $15 to $50 and there will be a total of eight bags released.

Want to see what the collection will look like? Below are photos of five of the Mulberry for Target handbags, courtesy of Fashionista:

Everything sold out so fast in that Gilt sale! But I was actually able to snag the denim satchel in the smaller size. It’s really cute and seems pretty well-made.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the collection looks like!

I’m not going to buy one of these bags just because they’re not really my style, but I think they’re super cute! I love the jangly thingies that’s on every bag – the gold-studded heart! So cute. :) Plus I love the shiny finish that it gives off.

I’m not sure- they look a bit cheaply made, but to be honest, I think i’m a bit bitter about this, as I feel that it devalues my Mulberry Bayswater and long locked purse by lending out the name to much cheaper and slightly tacky items.
Though, I think they look very much like Paul’s Boutique bags, which are very popular bags here in the UK which are designed to be a fun take on popular designer bags. In that respect, I guess for younger girls and people who like the style of Mulberry but just not enough to invest a larger sum of money in one of their mainline bags, these are nice.

Ooo, exciting! I’ve been anticipating the unveiling of this line since I got a whiff about the collaboration. I’m not too crazy about the quilted ones, but the patent black looks fabulous! It’d be nice to be able to see them in person before purchasing, though.

I think they are not that original in style, but, then again, I am not a handbag girl. I buy one every two or three years and carry it everywhere, because I think most of them are so unremarkable and unattractive, so perhaps I am not a well-suited judge.
