Today’s coupons & sales post is a little late - will you guys forgive me? It’s been a hectic week for me so far!
Also, are any of you also in shock that it’s August already?
I’m having trouble believing it - I haven’t done anywhere near enough back-to-school shopping yet, and I also haven’t been to the beach as much as I should. I guess thats how it always is at the end of summer though, right?
Anyway, if you’re still behind on your fall shopping too, check out this week’s online coupon codes and sales to save some money while you stock up on clothes for school. Happy shopping!
- There are some new markdowns at Pink Mascara
at prices up to 70% off retail. Shipping is only $6, and you can save on Marc by Marc Jacobs, Joe’s Jeans, and many more brands.
- Macy’s
is currently offering dresses, tops, denim, and more for $9.99 each! These are only going to last until they sell out, so buy fast if you’re interested.

To Briana:
I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. :)
Currently, I am using an older Toshiba laptop. It works great, but I am planning on getting a new desktop or laptop.
Which do you prefer? Writing your notes by hand or typing them? Do you think that a laptop is absolutely necessary for university/ college?
The only plus side I can thing of to having a laptop is that I write better essays on the computer than on paper (I can think more clearly), but how often would I have to write an essay during class anyway?
It would be so great if you could answer a few of my questions when you have time! :) Thanks for creating such an awesome blog.
My friend and I have set up a very interesting bet: No shopping–heck, no stepping inside ANY stores–for until Summer 2009, it was made in interest of getting 100 bucks, that and I’m broke and I haven’t worn half the clothes in my wardrobe yet. Besides, I like a challenge.
Are there any ways to inject new life into clothing without having to get out your wallet, or thread & needle?
A - Yup, definitely a typo! Thanks for telling me, I updated the post :)
M - I like to write my notes by hand. At my school, pretty much no one brings their laptop to class. I like having a laptop instead of a desktop because it’s easier to bring your work anywhere - even if you just want to go do work in the study lounge down the hall from your room. I also sometimes go home or visit my boyfriend on weekends, so I like to be able to bring my computer with me. I don’t think it’s absolutely essential at all, but it is nice to have a laptop.
Shar - Wow, good luck with that! Here are some things I would do if I were you: 1. Buy some cute accessories - they can bring new life into an old outfit easily 2. Try wearing things a new way - a long, babydoll top can be turned into a knee-length skirt by tucking the top part under, a top and a skirt can look like a dress, etc. 3. Use scissors - make some cutoff jean shorts or a tee shirt from a long-sleeved top. Have fun with it & let me know how it goes!
another american eagle tip - EVERY SINGLE PAIR (yes, even the new ones) of jeans is on sale right now - most are $5 or $10 off.
Thanks! However . . . wow, this is going to sound so bad: but, um, yeah, I suck at coordinating accessories with outfits. Either it’s over the top or it’s really, really lame. Help? Please?
Thanks for your help Briana!
I think I’m going to get the desktop computer and keep the laptop I am using right now for emergencies.
Hey, also at forever21.com if you spend $75 you get free shipping!! And you can get SO much stuff there because everything is so cheap!
Oh and I was recently at A&F and bought a pair of jeans for $20!!!! (that were originally $90) haha just thought i would share that tidbit, i definitely think they were a steal!
Hey i suggest checking out House De Lux in Manhattan for jeans, they’re really great and they’re really fun. They’ve got a great website that you can check out, but you should try and get to their store to try on the jeans and stuff1
I’m always on the look out for a great deal… thanx!!!!!
Do you update every week?
