New Apple Back-To-School Promo

Apple Online Store

If you’re going to be a college freshman in the fall, or if you just need a new computer for school, you’re going to love Apple’s new back-to-school promotion!

From now until September 15th, when you buy a new Mac for school, you’ll get a free iPod touch or iPod nano! That’s on top of the already amazing college student discount that Apple offers.

I’m personally planning to use this next week to buy myself a new Macbook Pro! My old Dell laptop is about 4 years old now, and I’ve been coveting the MB Pro for about 3 years, haha. Now that this promo is on, my new laptop will come with a free iPod touch!

In just a week, not only will CF be brought to you from a sleek, sexy, gorgeous laptop (instead of a crappy old Dell), but I will also be able to update for you guys via wifi with the iPod touch. It doesn’t really get much better than that!

Visit the Apple Store before September 15th to take advantage of the college student promo.

They had the same promotion last year – about 2 weeks after I had bought my brand new MacBook. Man, was I ever mad about that, haha.

I reaaaally want an ipod touch. So pretty.

Stacy – I know! I just bought my MacBook Pro yesterday – SOOO excited, I’ve been saving for a while.

Jennifer – Seriously! I haven’t seen any other computer companies offer anything even close to this for college students. Mac rocks.

Emma – Awww, that’s too bad! But you still got a new MacBook, so it’s not like you really lost out. And yess, the iPod touch is a thing of beauty, huh?

Brittany – Yup, good point! Pretty fab deal.

I bought top of the line DELL XPS in Feb (Im a software and hardware engineer for the past 8 yrs in Financial services) . My Dell 2.6GHZ, 160GB 7200RPM and 4GB Memory. I just ordered my first MAC Book Pro with same specs 2.6GHZ CPU 4GB memory and 200GB hard drive 7200rpm. Dell cost $2800. Mac Book Pro cost $3200 with shipping. I gotta say side by side the MAC looks better…just a sleeker unit. Aside from that, the performance is very much the same. Both units use Intel Core Duo CPU. Both use same speed Memory DDR 667 Modules and both units use the same exact speed hard drives.
If there is any difference, its hardly noticeable. The thing i dont like with MAC, I like to upgrade my toys and MAC doesnt give much flexability. But MAC has gone the extra mile in packaging and the enclosure. Even the power cord has a telescopic thing to it so u pull it off a reel. Also the power plug has a magnetic conection which is a nice touch. There are other little details. But performance are pretty much the same.
