A post from Australia here - thankyou for girls for your beautiful work! What I like best about these ideas is that I can store even more stuff!

I have a couple of ideas that really work. If you have tons of heels like I do, you can hang them on the bars of a clothes drying stand, and lean it up against a wall. I've also used a steel bed base frame and wine racks to hang heels by leaning them against walls.

I also wanted more hanging storage for my handbags and purses but found it was super expensive. So I went to my local hardware store and for well under $20 I got a large shed hook, a metre of heavy chain and some s-shaped hooks. I hung the large hook on a roof beam (although you could hang it on a door, bookshelf or wardrobe), put the chain on so it was hanging down straight, then put hooks on for my handbags. It looks like a funky shop display, people love it.

Thanks again for the inspiration to share my best tips!

Another genius article! You have the best tips! I'm a stickler when it comes to keeping my clothes, accessories (and hair supplies actually) neatly organized and this article is filled with great advice that I have already put into practice :D

This series is amazing! I just moved to a new apartment and it's much smaller than the last, so organizing my things to save space has become something of an obsession. The t-shirt drawer arrangement trick is especially great.

Unfortunately, my closet has no rods, and instead has a 2-tier wall shelf that precludes the placement of one where there used to be. I don't really have the room for a pop-up armoire or anything that takes much floor space. Do you know of a method or contraption to somehow still hang dresses and jackets?

While searching for some cheap jewelry organizes, I came across the idea of storing earrings in ice cube trays. I thought it was genius and picked up a couple trays at Walmart. Its a great way to see all your earrings and you can also put some shorter, more delicate necklaces in the trays. I put my trays in one of my dresser drawers, so its super easy to find earrings or necklaces to go with my outfit in the morning :)

Thanks for all of the great ideas! I can't wait for the articles to come.

I was searching prices for the jewelry organizer mentioned in an above post and came across this video on an easy way to create an earring organizer

Doesn't require any tools!
