Isabella's style is simple, yet unique. Though uncomplicated, her outfit is far from basic. In fact, she breaks an old-school fashion rule, mixing black and brown, and she does it flawlessly.

Let's Talk Fashion
What’s your fashion inspiration? "I mainly get my inspiration from window-shopping. If I see something I like, I get it."
Where do you like to shop? "Little boutiques at the sides of the major shopping streets."
How would you describe your sense of style? "Hippie [and] individual. I like wearing things according to my own personal taste."
Why did you choose this particular outfit today? "Well, I opened my closet and thought to myself 'today it’s time for a little black and brown mix and match!' And then I simply threw on my jeans and that’s how it came about."
What fashion advice would you give fellow students, looking to improve their style? "Stay authentic and don’t focus too much on trends. It’s more important to emit that you’re confident and comfortable rather than trendy."
What are you favorite trends at the moment? "None at all, actually. I don’t like following trends."
Do you have any favorite designers? "Well, I do really like the bags by Mulberry!"
Do you have any unique hobbies or interests? "I love reading and meeting friends. I also really like getting into my studies because they’re really interesting. As for sporty activities, I love to run."
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be? "My mom’s!"
Elements of Isabella’s Outfit
1. Beaded Necklaces
Isabella brought her simple outfit beyond basic with some cool accessories. Her authentic South Asian necklaces spice up her neutral, earth-toned look. Pairing a transparent necklace with a second, colorful one is a layering trick worth remembering!
2. Combat Booties
I always vote yes when it comes to booties, especially as fall arrives! The light shade of brown looks stunning against Isabella’s light wash jeans. If you look closely at the boot on the left, you’ll notice a petite floral pattern worked into the sides.
