Navy blue is absolutely gorgeous. I was tempted to buy Chanel’s, but I wanted a creamy, matte navy without the sparkle. I finally found it! Dior sells the PERFECT navy that doesn’t have the metallic sheen. It’s called Bleu Poison. It’s equally as as expensive as Chanel, but it’s truly worth it because I have searched EVERYWHERE and this is the only one I could find.

Hey, I found out a couple of months ago that navy blue was the new “it” color, and for weeks I have been trying to find a navy blue polish that isn’t shiny or shimmery. Does anyone know if I can find a color like that? -Amy

Maria – It’s totally OK. Just wearing black nail polish doesn’t make you goth! I say if you like it, wear it.

is it still “ok” to wear black nail polish? i do sometimes, and some people think i’m goth. i’m not, but i do shop at places like hot topic…

I love dark nail polish I just got mine done black a few weeks ago but of course i was going for a Avril Lavigne look the only prob was that people would make fun of me and say that i was goth but i really am not and i still stuck with it im a natural blonde but the color does go with my shade of skin . I will have to try this trend again!!!

I have to agree, I just bought NYC’s Skin Tight Denim and it rocks! I never got on the black nail trend (I rocked it from middle school to high school, anyway) but this one called to me. And I feel like NYC is almost exact to Chanel’s, it’s so dark it’s almost black.

Or maybe it’s because I put on a black coat first.. who knows, it looks great!

Retro.Bunny – So true. 20 dollars is a lot for a nailpolish, but I just couldn’t resist buying it! And I’m not sick of it yet soo… I agree though, the W&W stuff is just as good if you don’t wanna pay for the Chanel!

Actually, I love this trend too, but I have a hard time forking out 20$ for a nail-polish that I may not like after a month.
If anyone is trying to keep costs down or is flirting with this trend, go buy a bottle of Wet&Wild or NYC Color nail-polish. I have a bottle that I bought a couple of years ago, and it’s this exact shade of blue. Sure, it may not last as long (it does chip quick- like, 4 days quick), but at the price of 1$ a bottle, you can splurge on a good top-coat.
