Bring on the sparkle and shine!

My favorite nail colors are those that come out during the holiday season. I love darker, richer colors—especially if they have a hint of shimmer! I also adore the super glittery, metallic shades that tend to show up during the winter months. They're so pretty and glam.

After lots of research and decision-making (read, many trips to the drugstore, painting my nails a billion different colors and comparing them all), I've decided on my four go-to nail polishes for the 2015 holiday season. Read on to check them out!

OPI Nail Lacquer in Give Me Space

OPI Nail Lacquer in Give Me Space - $9.50

I think this shade speaks for itself. Just look at it - it is beyond gorgeous!

This deep, shimmery navy blue is so perfect for the season. OPI always makes such beautiful holiday colors but this one really shines. It looks so pretty on nails, and it's dark enough to be bold but not so dark as to be overwhelming. If you want a moody, yet slightly glamorous holiday polish, look no further.

CND Vinylux Nail Lacquer in Bloodline

CND Vinylux Nail Lacquer in Bloodline - $6.10

I'm a huge fan of CND Vinylux polishes. They last so long, the formulas are perfect, and they apply so well. The shade range is also fantastic!

This color is one of my favorites. It's a deep plum-red, called Bloodline, which I think is a fitting name. I love this as a casual, everyday color for the holiday season. It's also perfect for a work and school environment as well! Try this out if you're looking for a versatile, festive, everyday polish.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in On Pines and Needles

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in On Pines and Needles - $6.39

This color is a perfect Christmas tree green for your nails. I love it. It's totally out of my comfort zone, since I normally don't choose dark green polishes, but I adore it and it makes me feel so festive.

Sally Hansen polishes have always been among my favorites, especially the Complete Salon Manicure line. They're so easy to apply and last for a long time, and you don't need a top coat or base coat which I love. So easy! This is the perfect color for a holiday dinner or family party.

Essie Nail Polish in Apres Chic

Essie Nail Polish in Apres Chic - $8.50

I love silver polishes, and this one might be my favorite I've ever tried. Essie has disappointed me lately because their collections have been small and the polishes haven't been great, but this one brought them back to the top of my favorites list.

This metallic, called Apres Chic, is so easy to apply and looks so pretty on nails. It's the perfect smooth metallic and would be appropriate for any party or fun event during this season. It's just sparkly enough to be fun without being middle school glittery. I love this so much!
