I LOVE mineral makeup and just wanted to clarify something I often hear girls complain about. Mineral makeup is not meant to completely cover your face…It is meant to enhance the natural beauty that is already there. It is SUPPOSED to be sheer. Also, I hear alot of complaints about how mineral makeup makes some people’s skin break out or become very dry. Check the ingredients! The culprit oftens turns out to be talc. Talc dries out one’s skin, is an irritant to those with sensitive skin, and can cause respiratory problems when used in large quantities over long periods of time. Not too long ago ID included talc in their products but have since upgraded (yay!). Here’s to naturally beautiful skin!

I LOVE BareMinerals foundation! I’ve been using it for years, and you’re so right…it feels and looks as if I haven’t got foundation on at all!

Also, to go with those razors I recommend shaving with conditioner instead of soap or shave gel. Any type of hair conditioner will do, and it makes your legs extra soft.

My essentials include:

-Adidas deoderant- the best. Seriously.
-Clean and Clear deep clean cream cleanser. Makes my skin feel all tingly. :)
-Neutrogena mineral foundation
-Dove body mist. The scent is really refreshing.
-MAC tendertones. Better than lipgloss!
-Neutrogena aerosol sunscreen. It’s good stuff!

Huge fan of everyday minerals myself (everydayminerals.com) – love their eyeshadows and foundations but I know what you mean about mineral makeup. I started using it about 6 months ago and I just cannot imagine switching back to regular foundation. It would feel SO heavy on my skin!

I also really like spectro acne products, found they work best for me but for any acne problems, I’m a huge believer in benzoyl peroxide. Combining using b.p. with mineral makeup and my skin has never looked better!

Do you ave any experience with products for pale-skinned people? I’m a very pale redhead and so I would obviously look ridiculous with bronzer on, but I’ve always wondered about those lotions that give you some colour!

As for summer must-haves: Sunscreen that actually smells nice! Seriously, most stuff just sucks to put on because of the smell. I really liked this Banana Boat sunscreen I picked up a couple years back – and haven’t been able to find it since. But it smelled so good, I would use it instead of body mist or perfume.

I think I may try the Clean and Clear kit.. I was on a regimen I made up combining Neutrogena toner (was using Clean and Clear astringent, which I may need to switch to), Clean and Clear wash, and Clinique benz perox lotion (so also a combo of salycylic acid and bp), but it doesn’t seem to be working as well anymore…
