Beauty Video Tutorial: Bright Spring Eyeshadow
Bright, bold colors are extremely popular this season, whether they’re adorning your clothes, shoes, handbags, or even your face. Recently, I’ve seen so many editorials featuring brightly colored eyeshadows.
While we all love the looks we see in editorials, the only problem with following that trend is the clown factor – those neon shades can be tough to pull off in real life. If clown chic isn’t your thing, the following tutorial will help you rock brightly colored eyeshadow in a pretty, super wearable way.
The Look:

How to Get the Look:
Products Used:
- NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
- MAC Pigment in Naked
- NYX Eyeshadow in Yellow Funk
- MAC Eyeshadow in Goldenrod
- MAC Eyeshadow in Typographic
- L’Oreal Lineur Intense Eyeliner in Carbon Black
- Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara
- Wet N Wild Coloricon Blush in Heather Silk
- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan
- Benefit Ultra Shine Gloss in Nookie Nookie
Tips for Creating Colorful Lids:
- Do NOT forget mascara. It’s important to finish the look with your lashes – they won’t look natural if they’re covered in matte colored powder.
- Try out lots of different looks and have fun with the trend.
- Make sure the lip and cheek combo can co-exist peacefully – when in doubt, go for a nude lip or something subtle. You don’t want your lips to compete with the color on your lids

Looks so good! :) But the camera was unfocused… maybe you need to improve the quality of the tutorials a little: more editing, not talking that much, and use a better quality cam.
Anyway, you look really good, and your skin is amazing! :)
Cindy
Thank you! I loved your tutorial. So helpful. Well done! Please do more.
Mieke
It matches very well with your skin tones!
But iI do have a very light olive skin tone, so natural colours looks better on me..
Mieke
Oh, I just realized that green looks okay to me! :D

This is perfect. The think I most worry about when trying new, bright shades is how to tone down that whole Joker-meets-smurf-meets-rainbow. This is a perfect way to tone that down.

I’ve been dying to try bright eye makeup, especially for parties and going out. I think that since bright and bold colors are so big right now, bright eye makeup won’t be so uncommon, making it easier to pull off.
Also. thanks for featuring inexpensive products, unlike many youtube beauty gurus.

I just love this look! The yellow looks so stunning on you! I’m a little skeptical about wearing bright colors, simply because I’m sooo pale!
Elle
Love this tutorial! Super pretty look. I’m pale and love pastels, I’d do this in pink, purple or mint green.
Cristina
Imani is such a versatile beauty.
Samera
Absolutely love the yellow! and no girl, it does NOT look outrageous on you, it looks good!:)
